Shakespeare's Tomb (the one on the ground). Shakespeare asked for this sign to be placed on his grave. It says, "Good frend for Jesus sake forebeare, to digg the dust encloased heare. Blese be the man that spares thes stones, and curst be he that moves my bones."
His wife Anne Hathaway's cottage
A church that Shakespeare would have attended. In the old days the pews weren't there and everyone was expected to stand for the length of the hours-long sermons. To encourage people to pay attention the mural above the archway depicted the terrible things that awaited them if they didn't. The mural here was covered up for a long time but was recently discovered and restored.
For people not strong enough to stand throughout the sermon, here is a "seat" for them to lean on.
